SEERA Ride Sanctioning Application

When you sanction your Event with the Southeast Endurance Riders Association, you not only provide your SEERA riders with points for year-end awards, you obtain additional liability insurance, access to horse scales, and more. SEERA thanks you for sanctioning your Event with us!

Do you wish to add an additional insured endorsement or waiver of subrogation for an additional fee? Note: Certificates of insurance will be provided to SEERA sanctioned rides upon request at no charge. Your landowner(s) or other party/ies may ask that you provide a certificate of insurance with them as Named Additional Insured as proof of SEERA’s insurance coverage. If additional insured endorsements are needed, please make this request in writing to SEERA's Secretary Laurie Underwood. SEERA’s insurance carrier charges for additional insured requests and requests for waivers of subrogation. Therefore, those charges are passed along to Ride Managers and must be paid in advance to SEERA before a sanctioning certificate can be issued. Proof of insurance and/or certificates of insurance naming other parties as certificate holders should be requested at the time of ride sanction application submittal.

Attestations & Acknowledgments

Read the following statements and initial each.

I wish to sanction my ride with the Southeast Endurance Riders Association. I understand that my application must be received in time for notification of the sanctioning to be made in the SEERA newsletter, Facebook page and/or website. I further understand that a sanction will be granted in accordance with the sanctioning rules and policies posted on our website.

I understand that my ride must first be sanctioned by AERC and that my Ride and Tie event (if applicable) must first be sanctioned by the Ride and Tie Association.

I attest that the Ride Manager and/or Assistant Ride Manager(s) are current members of SEERA. I understand that if none of us are, one of us must join as a SEERA member before sanctioning will be approved.

I agree to provide a minimum of 2 veterinarians for the ride.

I agree to send the ride results plus a sanctioning fee of $2.00 per starting rider to SEERA via check or Paypal no later than 60 days after the ride's end date or December 1st, whichever comes first. I understand that I will be charged a $200 fine and potentially lose sanctions for other planned rides if I fail to do so.

I agree to follow AERC rules that require all Junior and Young Riders (whether sponsored or unsponsored) under the age of 21 to wear a helmet approved for equestrian use.
